Somebody already said that if you put tap water in that pool you need to dechlorinate it, but that takes a while. Watch that fish close, you may have to take him back to the lake and keep him on a big a-- stringer for a while.
Post pics! I want to see it and I know a ton of other people will too!

Good advice here: If you did put in in chlorinated water dump the water and keep him covered with wet towels careful not to wash the slime off of the fish when you cover it with the towels keep them damp, in the shade. This is a worst case scenario - If you see the fish is not healthy this is only to keep him alive so that you can release him would hate to see that monster die in a kiddie pool--- drive back to Conroe or your closest lake or pond, cut a slit in the bottom of his lip big enough to run a rope through the lip, then take a rope long enough to where he can get out of the direct sun in the water and stay oxygenated at the same time. Tie him up and let him rest on the rope until you get a plan..............>>> ...........................................or get the grease hot

This morning when I caught this monster, it was the largest fish I have ever seen. I took him home and tried to weigh him on our digital bathroom scales, but the scales don't go as high as me and the fish combined. A neighbor brought over their old scales, the old fashioned kind. They go up to 290 lbs. then start start back to zero, and just make another round. The combined weight of me and the fish pegged 290, kept on going, and went to 120 pounds. That was why I thought the weight of the fish was 130. I was not sure if the scale was capable or accurately handling that much weight but that was the reading we got. The weight of 130 was not accurate, or even close, but my post was honest, just done in the excitement of an incredible moment. We took it to a propane dealer, who had certified scales, and this fish weighs 67 pounds. I am a little embarrassed, but please understand it was just an incredibly exciting event, I've never been this excited over something done fishing or hunting. But it is still a great fish. ____________________________________________________________
I caught it on lake conroe, about 11am. I was fishing from the bank. In the past couple of weeks, I had hooked a big fish, but he broke my line once, got off another time. I was using a live bluegill hooked behind the dorsal fin. I let it sit for about an hr, nothing happened so I decided to call it quits. I tried to reel in my line, but it felt like it was hung on a stump or something. I carefully tried to unhook it by applying constant pressure, and it felt like it was giving way. I gradually worked it to the bank, still believing it was just a log or something. Finally it started swimming, and then the fight was on. It took about 45 minutes to land this fish. I landed him myself, off of a bulkhead, with a fish landing net more suited perch and bass, then a giant flathead. With his side fins extended, he did not fit square into the net, I had to angle him in, and then about half his body was sticking out. Still I got him up on the bank, but my landing net is no longer usable. This is far and away the biggest fish I have ever caught, to tell the truth, it is one of the most exciting days of my life.

No apoligy needed. Can understand how you could have made that mistake, still a very nice fish and a trophy to anyone by rod and reel or any other way. Congrats again.
