Well, it will be a hardcore fishing weekend June 12, 13, 14. McLovin is coming back to Texas for a weekend of fishing and I am PUMPED! I/we have some goals to accomplish too! Somehow some way there will be at least one new lake record for each of the following lakes:

Granbury - Going there June 12 for a flathead and blue trip. I want to break my flathead record and get the blue record in my name!

Lavon - Going there all day on the 13th for blues. I am sure there is a big blue waiting on me, have not been on that lake in almost 18 months. If not, I am sure there is a gar or something that can be a new record.

Grapevine - Going to get the blue record back in Daryls or my name.

Everyone can dream and have goals right? thumb

Did you get my PM on the "other" forum. We'll be there saturday for sure and maybe sunday! Had twin 30's on and they both got wrapped up!

You just leave that Lavon record alone now will ya! smile

Riverrat where on Granbury did you set this record? What is the record? I want to break it also lol. New to fishing for blues or any really big fish. Have always bank fished and that is not easy on Granbury as all the water is bought up just about. Any help on where to go would be a very appreciated bit of information. Thanks and by the way were do you put in while here?I usually put in at the new ramp coming into the business dist. But also use Hunter Park, Rough Creek, and the Dam.

The best place to fish on Granbury in my opinion is up near where the river and creek run in. Shallow water. Never have done well in deep water there.

I typically put in at the ramp in that trailer park there since it is close to where I fish, or at the park near Big Johns bait.

Sounds like good goals to me, should make for a fun day on the water. Let us know the results, especially how much fun you had.

My goals when I go fishing are...

1. Dont sink
2. Dont hook myself
3. Dont run out of gas
4. Dont get sunburned
5. Dont get called into work
6. Catch at least 1 baitfish

Everything after that is just Pie!

Well, the time is ALMOST here. This week is going to DRAG so bad I just know. We have our gameplan set for the weekend and believe that Friday night might be the night where we just tear the flatheads up. Lots of research and emails and talking have gone into this trip. McLovin and damfisherman and I are going to get the Friday night madness going on and our location and bait have been chosen.

Got all the lines cut last night ready for a retie and got 30 new Team Catfish 8/0 Double Action hooks so I am ready to get them tied up. Then I will get out after some baitfish Weds and Thurs. McLovin and damfisherman are getting the live bait and I am getting shad.

Hopefully there will be some good pictures coming next week. If we get skunked then we will still have a great time.
