Another good weekend on the Vine, Saturday hit the lake about 7:45 to wade fish and caught 7 LMB and 1 Crappie..biggest was 3.5 and off the lake by noon. Sunday got a late start and hit the lake at a little after lunch and caught 5 LMB and 2 Crappie in about 3 hrs of fishing. Grass is where it's at right now for me...it is hard fishing ripping the lure thru the grass but the pay off is there in about 3 feet of water.

Went out yesterday and the water I had been fishing was very murky and only managed 2 LMB. Seems my hot spot has cooled off for now. Did see a guy catch a solid #4 off the bank around the corner from me.

Murrell Park has many good spots but "Roc" is the guy to hit up on that...I can't help with the net because I use lures only from the bank.

Just got back from Murrell. 6 lmb (big was ~1.5), 3 perch. caught all on a 1/8oz rooster tail. They wouldn't take anything else.
Yesterday caught 5 lmb (big was ~2.5), 1 catfish on t-rigged worm and 2 sandbass on a rattletrap.
Most of the park is pretty crowded, but almost all of them are fishing on the main lake so if you don't mind the back of coves they are usually empty and you catch fish in all of them. Some might require a little wading to be more successful, but others don't.
Since the water came up I catch most bass near the grass, but they are all fairly small. Still trying to find a grass patch that has larger fish and doesn't require me getting in the water.

Well I'm thinking of heading out to the 'Vine in the morning. Anybody willing to share any advice? Going after LMB and thinking I should try ripping spinnerbaits through flooded grass, maybe some topwaters or shallow cranks. What do ya'll think? Oh yeah I willl be on the southside, if that helps any. Thanks, Stin.
