8' ProAngler rod, bait cast reel, 10# Stren line and 1/8th ounce jig with a white/chart Rocky Top.

I'd fish timber and take my chances at the weigh in thumb Seems to work pretty good on most lakes.

7' St Croix rod with Shakesphere Dimension spinning reel loaded with 8# Trilene XL, 1/8 oz jig head with something chartreuse, fished over a brushpile in 15' of water....on a day that the wind is not blowing.

My favorite way to fish is shooting docks, with a 5 1/2 foot rod, 6 pound Hi-Vis line, and a 1/16 oz jig, with Chartruese in it.

The technique that I would chose to catch fish throughout the year would be bridges using a 7 foot Wally Marshall Mighty Lite rod, 6 pound Hi-Vis line, and a 1/16 oz jig (wind permitting).

If I could only use one rod/bait/technique,,, I'd go golfing instead and yep you guessed it. I carry more than the legal # of clubs too.. I need help! nuts

I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.

Vertical jig / pitch bridges, brush piles, and timber for most of the year, the same setup could work for shallow spawners with the addition of a slip cork.

Maybe not the best combination for every use but versatile enough to work 90% of the time. The biggest change I would make from this is the color and size of the Rocky Top if changes were allowed.

thumb +1 except I would use Stren 10
