 Great Day at Canyon Lake

I usually don’t post much but I had to share this. For those of you that have never fished this Canyon Lake before…big bass are hard to come by. My brother and I were having a typical Canyon Lake day…lots of fish but nothing too big. When finally I hooked up with the largest bass I have ever seen in that lake. It went 6.4 on my digital scales. It looked a lot bigger but it was all spawned out. About an hour later my brother catches another chunk that went nearly 4 lbs. In all we caught over 50 bass with the 5 biggest around 16 lbs (large and smallmouth). We caught them on everything ranging from texas rigs, drop shots, wacky worms, and crank baits…did not really seem to matter.

Great job guys. Those are some great Canyon hawgs. That lake is not exactly known to produce trophy fish. I was out not too long ago and got a bunch of fish but nothing of size.
If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.

That's an awesome day for Canyon from what I've heard the bass dont get that big but a 16 lb sack is good on any lake. You would have definately won the tournament that day.
