The Texas coast is pretty big. I think over 600 miles in length. Where are you considering?

Keep in mind that inshore (bays) for a day will probably run $500 to $700. Offshore charters (not party boats) will run $1500 to $2000/day or more. This time of year it's difficult to plan offshore trips because windows of opportunity are sporadic at best. Due to wind, weather and waves you might get out one or two days out of seven.

Bay fishing should be fast & furious rightnow if the winds laydown some. Reds & Specks are going to be getting better and better by the day. The croaker have moved in the bays & flats down around Corpus already. http://corpusfishing.com/ Try this link they have some guides listed on there and some fishin reports with pics that might help ya decide on the bay fishin or not.

For East Texas you ought to consider going to Calcasieu, La. Lots of good guides there. Hackberry Rod and Gun is good. Several locals that guide who would be a little cheaper. Hackberry Cajun Guide is good. Always a great time and lots of fish.

Capt Kyle Burges out of Port Aransas is really good. Lately, he told me that going out and catching limits of trout isn't too hard, then spends the rest of the days filling limits of reds!
www.kyleburges.com They were talking about him on 2coolfishing too and how they thought that he is a great guide too!
Good Luck

Capt Jack Culberson in Rockport. 361-813-4229 He's fished that area since the 1960's and a great guy to fish with.
