Had a blast as usual, great food, great folks, great nanner puddin', great deviled eggs. We did about as well as we did last year and caught a dozen or so big Gills. I caught a 7 lbs. catfish on a cricket, nice fight on my ultra-light with 8lbs test line. Da' big Gill Hey Jack that Blue Gill is as big as your head! Look Dad caught one too!! How'd that big palooka get in there! Cooks at work.. What are you guys waiting on?....FISH A table of full Fisherman and Fisherwomen BBrown feeding the kids. Some folks went swimming and some left and these are the "hard core" bunch!! LOL

Man, it was great fun as usual!!
Yes, Carl, that is me on the fryer and at the table. Bill & Worth are there too but I didn't eat as much as they did.
Thanks, Al. Great seeing you guys again. Wouldn't be the same without you and all the other folks that have made this outing so much fun. Many thanks to you all for being there....
PS: Bill, Worth and I managed 31 BG's that size in about an hour and a half just before sunset Friday evening. More fun (on an ultralite) than you can shake a stick!
Love dem gills!!

I wish i had crashed the party. I started to but i figured i better not.All i had to pitch in was half a roll of toilet paper and a can of cashews. I fished for reds from 10-6 and blanked like a rookie. I decided in the honor of the fry i'd try to catch some gills. Managed 3 from the rock dam about the size of a mrs pauls apple pie on my ultra light and a yours truly custom jig. Glad i wasnt trying to feed everyone yesterday. They would have went home with a little fish on their breath and a belly full of cornmeal.
I wish i had participated now. Looks like yall had a good one.

Darn it Parker! Why the h--- didn't you come on anyway? We had more fish than you and the rest of the Park campers could eat, along with a ton of other great foods and deserts also. As a matter of fact, I bagged 3 large ziplocks with fried BG fillets for folks to take home with them! Don't you ever stay away for any reason next time. You are always welcome.....and you were missed.

I'm a fan of the little red hen. Reap what you sow, and i didnt sow. I ended up deciding to come down at the last minute. I didnt get on the lake till 10 or so anyways. The 3 i did catch makes me want to go back. Something different to hunt and much better to eat in my opinion.
