Worked Grapevine pretty good today around the boat docks, missed my first two fish and after that it was pretty much nadtha!

Caught one crappie about 11 inches and around 20 small bass.

The Carp and gar are starting to show up in the shallows. I saw small stick ups moving all around the shore. Tried jigging them and I think it was a mix of carps and bluegill.

Yeah, carp and gar are moving and jumping like crazy.
They are huge and look like whales jumping.

Yesterday we caught about 25 crappie with about 15 really good fish up to 2.3#. Today we caught about 30 crappie with the best fish going 2.2#. The fish aren't easy to get on to, but when you do, they're there in 'schools'. I'll be out there tomorrow with another trip and after that, I'll post pics from the last three days. We're catching everything on 1/8 oz jigs in any light colors. Our fish are about 50/50 spawned out.

That's awesome Guy. Bfail, you need to hire Guy to take you out and show you the ropes...He's a good man and will put you on fish.

Fished GV this afternoon with Guy for a couple of hours, then we got blown off the lake...Caught 10 or so with the biggest at 1.8 lbs...They can be the lightest bite, then you raise the tip and it just loads up...They do get way aggressive after that...That lake has some mean azz fish in it...

Was bank fishing for bass on the North side and caught 3 crappie on huge 1/2oz rattletraps. One was off a point the other 2 in the center of a cove. I haven't ever caught crappie there so it was a surprise.
