I will be fishing Cypress Springs for the first time on Saturday. My in-laws bought a place in the Tall Tree subdivision. I have fished Fork for crappie my whole life but this lake appears to be very different then Fork as it appears that there are no trees in the lake. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

You will need to use your electronics to find the brushpiles. They will be located in 14/17' on almost any point. Also there are hundreds of docks to shoot, but the lake is still pretty high. I talked with Steve Bennett who is a crappie guide on the lake a few minutes ago and he said they were dropping the water level pretty quick. Hopefully it will be stabilized by the weekend.
Steve will gladly answer any questions you might have about the lake. He is also a great guide who really knows that lake. I have fished with him a couple of times and we not only caught a lot of fish but what I learned from him has helped me catch em on my own. Steve's # is 903-563-9238.
I am planning on being on the lake Sat. myself.
Good luck, Steve

Rangerbobtx is right on. BPs in 14-17 ft. Worst comes to worst try the bridge. Both ends.
