Go try Lake Fork Marina. I'm betting you'll never feel a need to go anywhere else on Fork.

I've stayed at both. Lake Fork Marina would be my pick.

OK, here's the best plan. You call David, at "The Park" in Alba. They are right on the lake, just off of C.R. 1534 and HWY 17. You can stay in one of his cabins, or you can rent an RV spot - full hook-ups! His cabins are nice and well stocked with dishes and barbecue grills. He has a real nice set-up right on the lake.
You then have access to the whole lake - they are located in Williams creek. If you wanna stop grilling and go out for dinner, you are a 2 minute boat ride from "The Cove". They area a Restraun / Bar and have a full menu and live entertainment on the weekends. The food is pretty good and you don't hae to worry (as much) about getting puled over when you wanna go home after a couple of beers!
This is waht I do when I wanna have family down that wants to take a real low-key trip to the lake.
Good luck,
-Alton
You can't go wrong with booking a room at Lake Fork Marina, either. Everything is right there for you.

I alway loved staying at the Minnow Bucket. they have a nice ramp and docks. but we also stayed at the "towner Motel" in Quitman. it was a really good motel and only 5 minutes away.

Hideaway Harbor - nicest people you will ever meet run that place (Larry and Jerry - originally from HEB area) and the safest - never have to worry about your truck or trailer while out on the lake. Store, pull through rv spots, hotel and room rentals, and even camping spots if your interested in roughing it. Off the beaten path so no road noise - only boats!!! http://www.hideawayharbor.com/
