I've only fished there when they stock it with trout in the winter. I think they start stocking with catfish soon. You should have some luck.

My son caught his 1st LMB while fishing there for trout with a worm on a bobber when he was reeling it in to check and see if he still had bait. Greenbriar was really shallow and mossy on that one side though. I haven't been there since, it's probably "filled up" now. I didn't really like Greenbriar very much - fishing sucked, it was way too overcrowded, and it just seems a little shady over there to me. But, Hurst Chisholm sucks too - I think there is way too much pressure on these "Community Fishing Lakes". Bob Jones was alright for awhile, but again - way too overfished. I've only been to Lakeside once, so I can't really comment on that one. I would stay away from these ponds and go to Village Creek or Lake Arlington. The stocked fish in these ponds are generally very small. Good luck.

Talking about ponds in GP, has anyone ever caught anything in the pond between Camp Wisdom rd. and Mountain Creek Pkwy?

the thing with Greenbriar is too many people take the fish!
The Hemphill area is mostly Hispanic , they are always takin anything they catch.
that irritates me, you dont have to eat every fish you catch.
save some for the rest of us to catch!!!!!

I wish you could have seen the looks on the faces out there when I took that bass and threw it back. I had a kid on a bike when we got there ask me if he could "borrow" one of our poles. Me and my son were trout fishing, and since you "legally" only get 2 poles we were using all of them. This was on a stocking day. After my son told the kid he caught a bass he asked to keep any future catches - yeah right. He finally got some line and tied it on a stick, and moved down to the other in. When we were there it was a mix of everybody, except for asians. Good luck!

Not missing anything...
That pond sucks...
Probably was good at one time. But, as mentioned before, not many catch and release folks out that way. I only go around trout stocking times and that sucks to.

I'm puttin a security system in that shocks the CaRp out of anyone who takes fish.
someone needs to tell these people they sell fish at the grocery store.
If you see these people kick them in the nuts so they cannot reproduce moronic offspring.
LEAVE THE FISH!!!!
They act like we are livin off the land, but everyone there is FAT. I know that is not the case.
