Just got out of the water a little while ago. Wind was picking up and water was still dirty. Still a VERY LOW salt level in the water. Did catch one under size spec and stepped on a flounder. 2 minutes before me stepping on him my bait all but hit the flounder in the head. Why it didn't bite I don't know. Fished for an hour and got out after what looked like a storm brewing. Storm never came but good showers are expected this afternoon through tomorrow morning. Seems like the salt might never come back. Water temp guesstimate was about 76-77.

amazon, as of this morning the Trinity river in Liberty, all the way to the bay was at flood stage. The upper Trinity river valley has been getting pounded with rain. All of that fresh water dumping into the bay, making the water even fresher. I hope it gets better for you but I don't think three weeks will fix the water problem. Hope I'm wrong.

Went the day before yesterday just to get my boat out and of course pounded by that ene wind, so tried fishing the shoreline out of oak island with no luck. Couldn't taste any salt in the water, but that was expected. Will try east bay next week.
