CJG, I would recommend you give Jackie Kennedy a call and book a trip with him. He will put you on the fish and give you a great day on the water. He knows more about those Blues than anyone I have ever fished with. I have been fishing with Jackie for over five years. His Tel# 903-603-3793.

We found them on main lake points in 10ft of water on fresh shad carolina rigging. Wind blown side is always best. If I were you, I would anchor up on crappie island where the break is. There is lots of different depths you can reach from the boat and im certain you should be able to put some fish in the boat. You can get your shad very early in the morning on the bridges and boat ramps.

CJG where do you live? If you are close to Lake Arlington you can hammer the shad on the boat ramps early in the morning. Hope this helps

You need to find some shallow water close to a creek channel. With all this rain there should be plenty of fresh water and vegetation up there. We went down there a couple of weeks ago, and limited by lunch, biggest was around 24Lbs, broke off one other.

Go to the nothwest side of the lake and look for the lighthouse. That bay is AWESOME. I have put jugs there, drift fished, you name it and its never let me down. The biggest I pulled out of there was a 52lb blue, lots of 35lb'ers and I cant tell you how many others. I used to have a lakehouse on that cove where the light house is and have literally pulled hundreds of cats from there, come out from the lighthouse and head towards the boatramp that will be to your right if you are on the water facing the lighthouse. Fresh shad, cut. IF you drift fish watch out about 200 foot straight out from that lighthouse there is a pipeline or something that runs around 100 yards long that I snag my line on everytime. Good luck and hope that helps. Oh and also the bridge by Big Chief Landing has produced alot of good fish.
