My prayers are with you. I have a 33 year old son and have fished with him since he was able to walk. I don't remember the last time I told him I loved him. I will tell him tomorrow. With tears in my eyes I am sorry for your loss.

You have my deepest sympathy. There is nothing that I can think of worse than losing a child. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

As some one who just lost his father and best friend,i can tell you what helps me through the day.I think of all the good times i have had with my Dad,i dont dwell on when he got sick are what he went through while fighting the cancer, as much as i remember are long talks and laughs of when we were able to get out on the water together.I am totally at peace with the way my Dad passed as i was there when he did,i had prayed for months that when his time came, that it be peaceful and without pain,my Dad took his last breath with me holding his hand and then his heart stopped and he was gone from the pain that he had been through for so long,It was a great releif to know that my prayers were answered and that the good lord gave me the time with my father before he passed. We both had some regrets of things we had not said for so long before this happened. So i will say to all of you who still have your Dad's and our Son's, please let them know how you feel because they can be gone before you know it.God Bless......

God bless you and your family. Im sorry to hear of your loss. Many prayers for you, that you may take comfort in knowing your son merely beat you home, to be in heaven eternally with our God and Creator. Its never easy when the Lord takes his angels back home before we are ready for them to leave. Many prayers are with you Fork Man. May you always be blessed with God's presence, and knowing Clay is with you all the time, standing at the side of the Father.

My heartfelt sorrow goes out to you Forkman. I have 3 children and pray that God does not choose to take any of them home before I go. In my work I have seen a lot of children die and nothing breaks my heart more than to see the suffering of the families. None of us can understand why it happens just that we live in a fallen world and we all face death sadly some much sooner that we feel is fair, but like was posted God is in control of the big picture. Our life here is a vapor that is here then gone and compared to eternity is that brief.
I pray that Jesus will wrap you in his love to get you through this horrible time and that through your sons death he will get the glory some how. Maybe through this forum someone that reads these posts will come to know him and no doubt your son would say that his life was worth that.
May God's love and mercy be with all of you that have lost loved ones.

Forkman, I cannot imagine what you are going through, almost every day I say the parents prayer so that perhaps the good lord will spare me the pain and loss you are going through. Everyone wishes they could produce some words of comfort at a time like this, but any words spoken by mortal man must ring hollow to your ears. Please take comfort that a man as good as your son is at this very moment being held in Gods arms, and all of his pain and wordly cares are gone now as he rests in the place of the Lord for all the rest of his time. And know that upon your reward and salvation you will be joining him, to also rest in the place of the Lord. But I bet the good lord has a killer fishing hole set up for the deserving, and oh what a time you will have! My prayers are with you and your family that the good Lord will provide some comfort in this time of dire need.

Mr. Rogers, Please except my deepest sympathy. I took a moment to try and imagine such a loss. It's impossible. While my son is currently away at college finishing his first year, I have struggled these past 9 months. He is my best friend and during this time away, I have struggled to function. While my loss is only temporary, yours is permanent. I was searching for some advice and guidance to help me cope with his absence and I found the following. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7109834.stmI'm quite sure these words will help in recovery. May Clay always live in your memory. God Bless.
