When fishing grapevine lake which do you prefer, murrel park or twin coves?

I personally like twin coves, its really good when I don't have to pay to get in.

I didn't think you had to pay there anymore. Is Little Pete's in Twin Coves or Murrell? Anybody ever had any luck at Rockledge?

Little Pete's is in Murrell and I have caught fish all over Grapevine in the last few months from the bank. North side has had bigger fish for me but I tend to catch more on the South side for some reason. The water is up so wade fishing is the ticket right now....Good Luck!

I've never had any luck at Rockledge and I've never heard anyone say anything good about it. But with the water down I noticed some really nice rocky structure in places and I'd guess when the water is covering it the smallmouth would be there.

Yeah FF, I kinda figured that was the place to hang out and get drunk, or smoke some weed, etc., etc. I rolled through there at night one time not knowing it was even there, and saw large groups of people down by the picnic tables staring up at my car as I drove by, so I kinda figured so. Anybody know if there is a way to fish that rip rap by the dam/spillway without a boat - bank access maybe??? I'm thinking the cats have got to be hittin hard in this area.

I caught some nice LMB in Rockledge about a month ago and got into the whites as well. I have learned if it looks good then you gotta try it for yourself. I will say this all fish were caught on the far bank usuing Rapala F-9 jerk baits. As far as the party crew, they have seemed to disapear since they starting charging to get in.
