caught 20 keepers today in about 2-3feet of water using a grasshopper and baby bass BASS ASSASSIN.they were still bitten at 2pm when i left. all the females had eggs in 'em.

yeah a couple of good ones. 1.5 - 2lbs. grasshopper is the type of bass assassin. aint fished with real grasshopper since i was 12. does anyone still do that?

they were bitting good again today 5-2-09. not sure how they did on the barge but all around the bank they were catching 'em. 2-3 feet seemed to be the depth and they are hitting everything from minnows to the ugliest jig i hada in my bag. u know the ones you bought 2 years ago and never got a bit on..... well try it they will hit it as long as it is moving a little! Ole' Sly really got on 'em good too!

was out today took 17 home all good size we were there right up till the storm hit gave an older gentleman 3 that i had caught in the last ten minutes before the storm fish bump they were all caught around the bank with gulp minnow used three of them all the time i was there which was not that long maybe 3 hours tops

I caught bout 10 along bank fished only for bout an hour and a half before the storm came. Caught 8 males and 2 females with eggs great sign !

I would like to take my father fishing for crappie at Benbrook. I tried 1 time without any luck. We have a 20' pontoon but need to know where to go and what to use. My dad is a retired GM man and doesn't get to go fishing often. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jeff Hopefully going Saturday.
