I heard on the outdoors radio show that rollover pass was filled in from the bridge to the bay.. can anyone confirm this? if this is true they pulled a fast one.

We were there last night and it was not filled in yet. I thought they have not yet come to a decision on filling it in. They have some big pipe right in the middle of the pass and it looks like it is for dredging it.

There were people on the surf side and on the bay side.

It looks like the fix is in, and no person is going to change this joker's mind. I sure hate that.
Rollover Pass is my favorite spot to spend a day in this whole world.

I hope this dosen't happen. I remember when my dad would take us to Rollover on a weekend. That's when you could fish off the old bridge. We would camp an murder the fish during there annual spring and fall runs. Man those were the days thumb

My family used to load up our '57 Airstream trailer and spend a week or so in the summer down at the RV park by Rollover Pass. Those were good times. I'll be sorry to see it go. I've got a lot of leaders and weights buried in there.

Excuse me for asking a stupid question but what is the long tube in the water and what is its purpose?

Here's something I heard from a reliable person who lives in the area of Rollover Pass.
I have not verified it myself, maybe it is true, maybe not.
If Rollover Pass is man made, it is fair game for what ever is decided in the political arena.
If it was already there, and was NOT man made, then it is off limits.
Supposedly, there are maps from the 1800's that show there was a waterway from the bay to the gulf, right where Rollover Pass is now located.
