the tank i often fish has two bed's that I know of. i bass fish a lot and the gill's keep snapping at my bass baits.

yes they are   look at those bellies, I counted about thirty beds I could see.
 It's more than the catfish would do.

4 days before and 4 days after the full moon, with the warm weather we are having they will be on the beds.

i have heard and think i have seen the spawn starting...am i correct? It actually started in March in my area and activity has been increasing since then. Usually peaks with the May full moon but continues on into fall.

Derik, I think that first pic is a tilapia. The second is a Redear Sunfish.

That is not a Tilapia, but the second one does have a red ear doesnt it.
It's more than the catfish would do.

I've never seen those colors on the fins of green sunfish, but I am obviously no expert! Sorry about the mis-id.
At any rate, I knew they weren't bluegill!
