jb weld won't flex. use 3m's sealant. you can get it in the marine section of academy. Or better yet, drill out the rivet and re-rivet a new one smile i am gooing through the same with my boat as we....type??

in my experience, JB weld won't work because it is not flexible. 3M-5200 will work well. The best solution, however, it to get a TIG welder and weld them.

I have asked the same question and some said to use roofing sealant. Not the black tar but the stuff thats light gray. I did not think it would work but thinking again I have used it before for repairs and it pretty bad stuff. If its weather proof and deisgned for etremem outside conditions I dont see why it would not work. It also designed to stick to clean metal. JB Weld wont work its not flexible and will be a batch to get off....

bps sells epoxy sticks you just heat it with a propane torch and apply it to the rivet makes a permanent seal

A friend of mine used this product Gluvit to seal the leaking seams in his aluminum canoe and said it works great.
