Zoom grubs in pearl white are killer on the bass in this pond. There are also some massive cats in there as well in front of the restaurant.
There are a few 9 - 10 lb bass in there according to one of the guys that works at the Firewater.

So much for the covert operation I was talking about.
Note to self: If I ever find a honey hole like this, make sure any pictures I take show NO background details at all.
I wonder how many pickups will be parked there tonight..... LOL

And the secret honey hole is......................Drum roll.....................................
FIREWATER! Off of northwest highway by Red River Saloon!
Your pic gave it away in your last post RUDY......that is Bennigans in the background... it has the striped awning and you can see the big sign by it. This pretty much seals it: By auminer at 2009-05-01 By auminer at 2009-05-01 http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=32.860592,-96.894951&spn=0.009913,0.045319&z=15&layer=c&cbll=32.860579,-96.894946&panoid=UU_Tynsp4DSwyy8j85gzvw&cbp=11,59.71277962754912,,0,3.5511363636363615

This place where Rudy fishes is not a "secret". I know at least 10 avid fishermen who have frequented this spot for years and they are not members of TFF. I have been fishing that spot during the day for years as well. About a month ago we were fishing there and the landowner (a very nice old man) came out in his Lexus and politely asked us not to fish there. I have honored that request and I have not returned. I think the land is up for sale.
Anyway, it is not a "secret" if you post photos on a public forum for all to see. In this case RUDY posted a photo that just gave it away. I think that there are alot of folks out there that would like to try this spot too.....what is wrong with that?

My advice is: go at your own risk...at night. Its probably your safest bet.....since Rudy is able to go pretty consistently without issues.
During the day will be an even bigger risk.
As I stated... I have not returned (even at night). Once the landowner tells you to git' .... in my book... it's over.
You need to watch out for a guy in a late model white Dodge pickup truck. He watches the area for the owner. When we were there during the day he pulled up by the bridge and was just sitting there in his truck. I thought it was odd but we kept on fishin. About 15 mins later this old man showed up in a black Lexus...got out of the car...and approached us. He asked us to not to fish there anymore due to it being his private property.
So take it for what you will.
I have found a few other spots that produce as well as Firewater....so no loss for me if I can't go.
