me,my dad,and two boys are going to texoma the first week of june.does anyone have any tips of what areas of the lake should be the most productive around that time?also,i know shad is the primary food for stripers, but has anyone used live perch for bait,if so did you have any luck?or would artificials be better this time of year? thanks for any and all info.

by the first week of june they should be surfacing early and late. Top waters are very effective and fun that time of year. I always have good luck running the bluffs around Eisenhower state park, and back up towards the dam. I have caught them below the dam on perch but shad is your best bet for live bait.

anywhere you see the birds chasing shad on the beach.

I stay on the west end and do better on the Texas side (Texas Flats) - dont know why
