I miss fishing on the northeast coast . My dad and I fished for them this time of the year was great fun . Even more fun to catch them that size off the surf on clams .
kayak = better on gas

Nice fish!
They get a lot bigger than that -- rod and reel record is 78-8 caught in the surf off Atlantic City. They netted a 92 lb fish in Maryland during a research project.
I also read of a 125 lb Striper caught by commercial fishermen back at the end of the 19th Century.
Beautiful fish.
