Newest addition to my stable a 10' kevlar float rod that is as new and sat in someone else's collection for over 12 years....Not sure if I have ever seen a USA rod maker use kevlar before, I know that they can not use the same process they used to because of enviormental impact or some such thing...sexy!

Well its made for carp angling, its rated as a 2lb test curve...that means that if held horzontal it would take 2lbs of weight to pull the tip to point straite at the ground so its probable a med. Action in us standard.....but it will never ever break, go soft even a car door would have to catch it just right....and the tip is nice and soft but the butt section still has a ton of backbone...and it just looks amazing when the light hits it...carbon kevlar wrapped with kevlar strands

I plan to use it for carp, throwing rattle traps a mile and c-rigging its incredibale sensitive...only draw back for a non bank angler is the 10' length...might have to bust out some of the ol school red ac plugs and chunk them again

I have heard that Kevlar isn't used in fishing rods that much is because it is heavy, though strong. How heavy is that rod?

We all know that no one can fish with a rod that weighs more than 2 oz and a reel that weighs over 7 oz. grin
