Since the wind is supposed to be ok this weekend and I finally have my boat running the way it is supposed to again, a buddy and I will be in the bay this weekend. Hopefully this fishing trip will be better than the last 4 that didn't even produce any fishing time. We are trying to decide where to fish. I have heard people have been doing well in both Baffin and Mansfield. Anybody have any suggestions? Baffin would be closer by about 1 hour, but if Mansfield has been better, I would rather spend the gas money and go there...

I would say mansfield...Weve had a alot of luck this time of year right at the mouth of mansfeild where it opens up from the land cut..As soon as your coming out of the cut into mansfeild a few msrkers down on your right you will see maker 36...we like turn i there and wade fish all in that area...we are usualy wading in about 4 1/2 foot of water so its a little deep but when there in there we catch limits of nice 20+ inch trout..and then directly across on the other side of the chanel there are some spoil islands and they can hold some nice redfish on the back side of those islands...Hope ive been some help to you and remember once your in mansfeild the trout limit goes from 10 to 5 and those GW will sit at the mouth of landcut and check your boat.

Well it looks like Mansfield is under a wind advisory until at least 6pm, and Baffin is under a small craft advisory for the rest of the day so I'm not going anywhere. Wind is supposed to slow down a bit tomorrow so I guess all I can do is cross my fingers and hope.
