guys i've got a problem with under sized males i've been in the fish for the past 2 weeks and my frineds and i have killed them fishing way north in Kansas Creek on Texoma and a small water supply lake (lake Durant) which is a bass slot lake and has a 10 inch min on crappie as well anyways we've been in them in water rangeing from 2-10 ft back of coves with standing timber off of creek channels but we've only caught 20-30 keeps and most all of them are males... i'm not a big minnow dunker but i've started just trying just to find bigger fish all i've started catching are blues and channels... so though i havn't givin you alot to work with any suggestions on finding some larger fish..

Kansas Creek is known for the small crappie. I like to go there bcause they bite year round but like you said not many keepers. I also like Durant Lake. I was there just this past weekend and cought several large males using jigs. I don't mess with the minnows. We have been haveing pretty good luck fishing the Catfish bay area on Texoma. Nothing but Keepers.........

If you think Texoma is bad try Joe Pool. grin Seriously, the bigger baits like Brian mentioned are the ticket to catching bigger fish. thumb
