I now have the perfect reel...
Surprising thing to me was how the 2 reels retained the exact same feel as before after I swapped the gears.
I like the refinement in the Curado, so I wanted it to be more of an all-purpose reel like I prefer. Still have the 5:1 arsekicker when I need to do some heavy cranking and spinnerbaitin'.
Sidenote: both these cast like dookie compared to Revo's, Curado B's, and many of my other reels (love both these reels once the lure lands though). No wonder Shimano scrambled to replace them.

move it from 5:1 to 6.2:1 increasing the IPT from 21" to 25ish IPT.
The slow ratio is great for power, but really only good for heavy resistance lures like deep cranks and spinnerbaits.
I bankfish and kayak fish a lot, so my reels pull many duties in a day of fishing, so I prefer 6:1 reels.
I couldn't pass up a Curado D for $75 (or the citica at $25) at my local Gander though
