I was just wonderin if anybody has had any luck fishin after it rains. I got the day off today and if lets up i was thinkin about hittin up the lake.

I have done well after a rain. I have always heard the logic was that run off pushes bugs down into the water and induces feeding. I spent 30 min today here at Fort Polk and caught 3 1-1.5 pound bass after a brief shower.

Fished witn Angler_Josh and CHickenwilly today at a Golf course pond and we caught well over 50..almost all on Topwater!

ive fished in the middle of lake tawakoni during a thunderstorm and caught a bunch fish
oh yea i fished today after the rain and caught monster crappie @ lavon

I don't do a lot of top water mainly b/c I have never had much luck with it. I do keep a buzzbait, torpedo, pop'r and some soft plastics I work on top in my kit at all times. I think these are considered the basics but I am sure someone will post a much more informative list.

Yeah we tore'em up yesterday at the golf course! We were usin poppers and buzzbaits both and easily caught around 50 apiece! But other good baits to use for top waters are floating worms they will usually bring in alot of fish also
