Fished the hole South of FW bridge, hung out with Brent for a while, not much doing, just a few, tried everything. Went back to the car and got my cast net. Had the pleasure of running into BaffinBay under the bridge. After BaffinBay showed me how to round up the shad we filled both our buckets with one cast. Went North of the FW bridge with BaffinBay and had the pleasure of meeting TheNightFisher. First fish on I had a breakoff (didn't have my drag set right). After that caught one real nice sandie then 3 catfish all on live shad. All in all it was a good day fishing with some good folks!

I was thinking about taking my canoe south from miller rd, is that passable in a canoe or am I going to have to carry it over some shallow spots?

Anyone want to go tomorrow early am? I could use a body at the front of the boat, an ice chest filled with water for a ballast isn't much of a partner.

Broke down a purchased some secret bait and fished a common hybrid hole around 6PM. OMG it was on!!!! I will be back!!!! Saw 3 people cathch 11 in same 20 min I caught 3 and broke off 3 more...no more 4LB line...Hybrid time.It turned on like a switch and only lasted 45 min. If I was more prepared I would have a limit.

It's not a fish. It's a bird, and I have not caught one yet. I've caught a lot of "peach" though.

Wind from the north, fisherman does not go forth.
Wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth.
Wind from the east, the fish bite least.
Wind from the west, the fish bite best.

Does anyone know if this rain would stimulate the fish to go back to the Rowlett Creek for this season?
Is the annual sand bass run for the RC over?

I was wondering the same thing. Most (95%) of the fish I caught this last week were spawned out. My guess is they will ride the waters out and its over for the most part.So sad i just figured the perch out...
