Before we come to blows over this let's try to put a litte perspective on this. As to the purpose and usefulness of snakes goes, don't we have plenty of non venemous snakes to get done what is needed to get done by snakes? Which makes more sense, having a potentially lethal animal in your back yard thus making sure that you don't contract Bubonic Plague, which nobody has come down with in the last 400 years, or, kill the poisonous snakes and allow other predators like non poisonous snakes, coyotes, hawks and owls handle the mice and vermin?

First of all, the guy who claims to whip someones a$$ over killing a snake is not too bright, you must understand for the most part this is a concept that's been passed down for generations and if you want to convince someone that you believe what they are doing is wrong that's probably the most worthless and pointless approach you could take. If people neglect to educate themselves about conservation of natural resources, then those people shouldn't call themselves true outdoorsman, but consumers, who knowingly or unknowingly exploit and waste resources without caring about the future or bothering to understand how they can be managed.

The objective of conservation is to slow the inevitable destruction and disappearance of what natural resources we have at our disposal,
