Over the past few months, I have been doing work on my Alumacraft jon boat. I made a live well under the middle seat, installed 2 1/2 feet high stainless steel rails, added an extra sonar, installed night lights, and installed a permanant mount for my gps. Installed four rail mounted rod holders on the rails, and installed a guide on the bow to keep my anchor or wind sock straight. I AM READY TO FISH! Just waiting for the weather to become a little more agreeable and I am off to the lake. Will post some pictures of my rig once I figure out how to get the pictures from my camera to my computer. I have been out of catfish for a while now and, shamefully, had to buy some at the supermarket. Dang, I can taste those lake cats now.

How big is your boat?

Sooner, my jon boat is 16' in length and around 72" in width at the gunwale.
The livewell is not open at the bottom. My boat came with a storage compartment under the middle bench seat. I installed a seat on top of the lid to the storage area. I then installed a kit made generally for ice chest. It has a pump with a pvc pipe with spray holes that I attached at the top of the inside of the storage compartment. I had an extra bilge pump I will use to fill up the now live well and then when I finish fishing, I will use it to empty it out. I drilled a small hole and ran the wire through it and it is attached to a 12 volt battery. I plan on just charging the battery after each trip.

Sounds like a nice rig you do need to show pictures of it first chance you get.
