The San Jacinto river is good which side of houston are you from? Some of us here in houston have been starting fish ins you are more than welcome to join us.

They are all through the bayous; Buffalo Bayou, Greens, Sims, Braes, White Oak, etc. I've caught some in Bear Creek as well.
Remember, there are regs that say they must be killed if caught unless they are in a licensed lake. Conroe is licensed, but no where else in or around Houston.

Yes i fish in bufflo bayou for carps all the time but i give them a way.Is on westimer at bush park there nice size catfish to.
