Flatt Shad and Humdingers were working well.

They seem to be all over - just follow the birds! It's like an open book test! Gotta love it!

went out tonight and did pretty well in front of Meadowmere bouncing around in the waves. Birds were working there for a while and I just drifted along with Little Georges anywherefrom 11 ft to 24ft. Kept a few to see how they taste. I usually throw everything back-but what the heck, I'll try them. Don't know if it's just the heat or the waves, but there was an abnormal amount of jet skiers buzzing around tonight for a Wed. You'd think they'd never seen a fisherman before the way they kept looking at the boat. Politely waved, showed my fishing pole and ignored them. Hope to get the kids out there this weekend as they love catching sand bass on their little poles.

southlake, I am thinking about it Saturday morning. It would be a deal where you hope they are schooling on the south shore because the north side is going to be a beating with 20mph wind on Sat. In a 21ft Hurricane fish and ski, and probably have a 10 year old with me.

There are fish on both shores. One shore may be more active than the other.

When considering the wind, keep in mind which direction the wind came from for the past 2 or 3 days. If it was all out of one direction, the windy side for those days will still be holding fish even if the wind changes direction.

Meaning, if we've had wind out of the south for 3 days but you find yourself fishing on the 4th day and the wind is out of the north - the fish will still be on the north shore. wink
Clear as mud? laugh

Time permitting, I'll be out there both Sat and Sun mornings..early. If you see a Fat Bass Cat on the water, it's probably me.
