We kept 42 crappie yesterday from Richland Chambers. Still using minnows and live shad. Caught some really nice ones with the largest being 2.3 lbs that my son caught and several just under that one. We also picked up some nice blues while crappie fishing, that was a blast as well, talk about a fight on light tackle. My son hung one that would have gone well over 8 lbs and lost him at the boat. We could have easily limited out on crappie but we were releasing the ones 11 inch and under, except for the hook swallowers that we kept. We did this simply because of the average size we were catching. Still lots of eggs in them. At any rate, it was a great day and well worth it for many reasons.

Nice catch. Richland arm or Chambers?

Those Blues are the bounus using shad (sit in the back of the boat (on Brush Pile - Down wind) and you will be the one to catch the BLues also.

Way to go thumb

Braggart! I am glad to see you took your son instead of that clumsy brother of yours. The ole arkansas traveler can't take too much more abuse from "Slappy". LOL

Seriously, good job! I bet that was a memorable day for you and your son. I will holler at you this weekend so you can invite me to go.

No doubt....took me two day to get the old Traveler back together. Im satisfied that if we would have stayed out longer that day I would have just had to swim back, I think the boat was just screaming at me to sink her now, water or not...LOL.
Austin had a blast. Did you notice your "cleaning board" in the background?
