Next weekend May 1 and 2 is the 8th annual Smallmouth Bass and Fly Tying Rendezvous up in Tahlequah, Ok. I went to the first one and have been to several more. It is a good bunch of folks and any monies generated go for a scholarship. The Indian tacos that are served for lunch on Friday and Saturday are to die for. It is a good place to watch some of the best tyers in the region and ask as many questions as you want. We always have a bunch of fun. For more info go to www. Oksmallmouthbass.com
This is my favorite of the club events that I attend each year. It is less than a tank of gas and is in a beautiful part of the state.

Have fun with this stuff.

I cannot go, but I hope y'all have fun. It sounds like a wonderful time!! All of my spare money is tied up in the boat.

My wife and I spent last weekend in Tahlequah fishing with Dave and Emily Whitlock on their farm and private stream. I caught my first rainbow trout (25 inches) and caught 3 more over 26 inches. Most of the fish were in the 18=20 inch range. My wife took lessons from them, (Dave was the director of the LL Bean fly fishing school for 15 years) and she caught a bunch of smaller trout from 12 to 18 inches. Altogether a great weekend. If Dave is tying at the Rendevous, be sure to tell him Frank and Nancy said "Hi" Frank
