Yesterday as I was fishing at Benbrook two men drove buy on a little bass buster just as I caught a crappie. One of them said to the other (while trying not to let me hear him) "I can't believe he is putting that fish on the stringer." I responded with the words "Excuse me?!" Which startled the man who didn't know I could hear him. When they reached shore I slowly walked over to the two gentlemen, laid out my measuring tape, laid down my crappie, let them see that it was 10.5 inches, and walked away. Really didn't have a need to say anythng after that. That marks the first time I have ever had two 60+ year old men randomnly criticize me for no reason whatsoever. Just needed to vent a little bit and the only people who know what I'm talking about are fellow fisherman. Good luck and good fishin!

Saturday on Lewisville there was a guy sitting in a chair in the water putting 6 in crappie in a cooler. Anthony was pizzed. I didnt say anthing to him, maybe I should have.

Ah, they are old. Maybe they could really see what size that fish was. You were out catching fish and that's what you should remember, don't let a couple of old coots ruin you day.

I've fishing JP for 15yrs now, and year in and year out, we are bombarded with dinks year after year. The legal fish aren't nothing to brag about for the most part as you can tell from the pix of my thread "There ain't no slabs at Joe Pool"
Joe Pool is rated as the 2nd worse lake to produce bait fish in the State of TX. Frankly speaking, due to the shortage of food and abundant amount of crappies & green trash fish, I wish the Texas Dept. of Parks and Wildlife would issue new regulation for JP and let everyone keep a limit of 25 regardless of size for one year to thin out the dinks. It would definitely help the quality...
