Fishing line jocky 4 lb works best, open your drag. The very best thing to do is book a trip with Tarponfly. He will teach you what you need to know. If you cant do that then spend a lot of time reading the threads from the beginning of this topic and you'll pick up on a lot of things. The money spent for Tfly's services is small in comparison to the knowledge gained.

Jocky, I have to agree with John L. I went out with Tarponfly last Thursday, and we flat wore them out. Not only was it allot of fun catching, but I learned allot. Highly recommend him.

I've been enjoying these posts for a few weeks now hoping to get some time to get over there. Haven't been yet....I happened to drive by RC about 4:30pm today and there were easily about 30 cars and probably more coming as work ends.
Is there enough elbow room and adequet fishing holes for that many people? At 5 there was at least 60. 8 people fishing under the bridge. Thats why I quit going out there(today) Its crazy Darn I thought I was going to bring it to a 100

Oops! I fell asleep;( I didn't even get to watch my beloved LA LAKERS. Getting back to reality and life's responsibilities interfered with my ability to remain in the fishing realm and post a proper report last night. However I know I have been fishing too much when I wake up without the benefit of an alarm clock at 4:45, scared that I overslept for another round of RC madness. Quick look around the room in total darkness wondering where I am and what time it is. Flashes of creek visions in slideshow format or short clips are quickly envisioned and soon dissipate as the mental acuity comes back and the realization that I'm just sitting here takes place. Thus, I'm still too groggy to properly collect my thoughts and reflect on yesterday's events. Let's just add to the preview by asking the lurkers here, "does anybody know how you take this picture and put it on paste it on this picture in lieu of the normal reptilian head?" Caption would read, "Did anybody see this man running downstream from near the Gun Range to the Firewheel Bridge? He would have adorned double waders but all detailed facial features might have been blurry as the total distance covered might have taken less than 1 minute in near-light speed animation. Potentially, you would have only seen the aftermath of water droplets or mist as he was able to move so quickly on the top of the water that some might have confused him as Jesus. Not to be alarmed as he was not fleeing the scene of a crime, outrunning police, or escaping the Game Wardens after throwing a cast net. Details of the events indicate that it was a harmless garter snake and it might have been a fake one for that matter. The aforementioned suspect first dove headfirst in the creek fully engulfing the double waders to appear "sumo-like" in body form. Once discovering that the potential serpent was potentially still alive, the suspect proceeded to rise on plane like a jetboat does in .2 seconds and then proceeded to hydroplane much like the picture above. Very impressive to say the least and very distracting though for the hybrid anglers. This might have shut off the bite now that I think of it...or it was the vibration of the 3 other angler's laughter???

Nice job NightFisher. That is the fish that broke my 10 lbs test line. When did you catch them?

Wind from the north, fisherman does not go forth. Wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth. Wind from the east, the fish bite least. Wind from the west, the fish bite best.. __________________________________
