Well do like i do check out the texas state parks website and see what parks on lakes up in your area has cabins on the parks.

If your wanting to take your family, go to Caddo. Doesn't matter if you catch fish or not, the view is awesome and the kids won't ever forget it.
Cabins are all over the lake and in the area. Shady Glade is right on the water but that is only one of many...

Bethy Creek resort at livingston has little cabins and hotel type cabin right on the water you can keep boat in slip at night. swimming beach with a swim to island for the kids bait on site , gro. the little cabins have litchens with everything except food and they were really nice people when we were there...just a nice place to go ,,,,there is tv too with several cable channels in case you need it....we caught catfish the whole time we were there right from the dock but you have to put them up there is an otter that steals them off the stringers .lol
