Wanted to start a thread to see who is targeting hybrids on Lake Palestine. I have met the Ledbetter legend, MartyK8, and HeadsRtails, and know Parkenstein, but was wondering who else is after the hybrids on palestine. I will be out there tomorrow morning.

Curl Dawg, it appears nobody does with all the responses. I do.
This is the best time of year from now to about a week or 2 in June. When they are more accessible in areas that are popular to fish, SHALLOW. Topwater, swimbaits, trolling, bream, shad, and what ever else. Ask everybody that when the water is 85+.
Mash the barbs down on the topwaters and enjoy.

Got out there early, and tried a couple spots with them only producing small white bass. Moved over to Cobbs inlet, and me and some fellow fisherman quickly noticed the action along the north bank. We each eased up with in striking range, and put the hammer on some nice hybrids in 3' and shallower water. Of course the fish I feel was worth mentioning is the same one that broke off at the boat on a final run after a long fight. 10 minutes it was over, I moved up around the Horse farm, and caught one around 6 lbs. Not to bad of a day, but not too busy either.
Let go tomorrow.
Whos in?

Went out this morning, and it started out a little slow. Nothing at the first two stops. Around 8:45am it picked up. Netted a few gizzard shad so I hooked them up , and caught two on live bait. But the 7" smoke fluke seemed to be what they wanted. Caught 6 hybrids, one got off on a tangled line, one bent my hook, because I forgot to reset my drag. Biggest was around 7lbs

I fish Palestine. I live in DFW and have a house in Saline Bay. I only get out there about once a month. You guys going to be out there this weekend? I'll be around the 155 bridge trolling if you want to stop by. 3-4 guys in a Ranger Reata F/S. Tight lines!

I've been catching some nice fish getting on the afternoon/early evening bite. But it sounds like Curly Dawg is having way too much fun getting them in the morning, I just might have to get my butt up early and get out there.

I'm hoping the wind holds down and I'll be there. If you see a Suntracker 24 Pontoon with green awning that might be me!
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

Yesterday was real fun, 30mph winds and locked into 1 area of the lake. I might have seen some of you guys, from the horse ranch to Cobb. I can pretty much tell you what time NOT to be there (10-2). Good thing I knew where a couple of brush piles were, the 12 crappie saved my day.

Hey Sanbasscamp, what were you in? I was out there till about 11:00am. In the green alum. side console tracker . It got a little windy for me, so I left. After I loaded up, the winds really seened to pick up.
