Thinkin about hitting up the vine this evening to try and catch some of those crappies.

Well, the lake is a lot lower than it was last year and the places I wanted to fish are no longer in water.

Should I just target flats on the bank or some of those old boat houses at oak grove?

Here's some good advice on DeVine from a good ole Crappie Guy:

And Why is everyone interested in my ole backyard pond now? Dad Gummit, I've had it to myself for years and now it's popular. Ain't no crappie in there! OK, I guess I've worn that lie out. hammer there's lots of new brushpiles in there lately, not just mine. Like Ernest said once, look for a place that you would put one and there probably is one there.

I will be out there tonight as well. Probably going to hit Twin Coves area. Might try the slips, or the stumps on the left.

Fishing is about family.

I need to find somebody to go in with on a slip on the vine...I've recently gotten addicted to crappie fishing thanks to someone taking me slip fishing on Lewisville.

Yeah, yeah that's what I've been tellin' 'em. They don't bite during the day either.
Wait, I'm probably not helping on this. hammer

I've been fishing Twin Coves for 18 years on the slips and for some reason this year we haven't been getting many bites after dark. It's never been like this before. The sandies aren't following the shad in either.
