Finally got on the lake after the rain subsided. Immediately joined up with Wild Bill and his guest. Found a few fish in area around A frame. Jason, with his group was there and saw them catch several sandies and a couple of legal hybrids.

Decided to meet Snaggin Steve and Paul up the lake, hoping to find hybrids like yesterday morning.

Paul, Gary, and I stopped along the Iron wall and proceeded to catch more fish than I could count. My Hybrid total was 4, with only one being legal.

The gang headed north hoping to find hybrids, but only could manage to find magnum sandies.

As the clouds moved in, we headed back south to usual points. I brought my legal hybrid total to three at the long ridge.

When I headed in, my bicep was about as fatigued as possible. We guessed we probability caught 300 fish at the iron wall and more at various spots on the lake.

Frankly, I was surprised the bite was so good after the rain. The lake was loaded with debris and very muddy looking.

This time of the year is such a good time to be a fisherman. Everything you throw catches fish. For about an hour, I caught fish with every cast.

i have been fishing cc hard for the last 2 mouths and bought a lake map ,i have caught lots of fish this spring we are headed there in the morn i have 4 questions where is pole dancer ,(i think i know this one)where is the a frame,where is the rock pile and where is the iron wall ? i know where i have fished but want to match up the names i love this lake and looking at buying a lease can someone please help?

What a day. Had a group of 7 with me today. We started in the rain at 7am. About 7:30 the bucket fell out with lightning and quarter size hail. Going 30 mph to get out of the storm with hail hurts like hell. We made it back to thier house without getting hit by the lightning and waited it out. It was a long wait but fun. What a great group of guys. At noon it was still raining but we headed back out. Found birds working in keyranch and boated 40 in 30 mins. Moved to the A frame and picked up some nice big hybrids. Then off to the long ridge for some more large whites. The last stop was the Spillway hump with a ton of big whites there too. Ended the day catching well over 200 fish. Cleaned 100 for their fish fry tonight! Thanks guys for a great trip!

I drove from dallas to fish cc, it started pouring and the thundering so we left I should have waited it out.

I watched out my back window while the typhoon came through in waves. It didnt keep the lmb fishermen off the lake though. I couldn't belive they fished through the rain, the lightening and the hail. craaazzzy. Anyway. I waited it out till 4 or so and went out. Passed Karry, Snaggin Steve, Paul and Wild Bill hightailin it south while I went north...not a good sign. I ended up catchin 50 or so sandbass and 6 hybrids at the slide, then went home for cocktails. Not a bad end to a good day ...and yes Steve, I even watched the mavs.

But were the cocktails good????
