Ok, thinking of fishing on Cedar Creek, but don't know where to tent camp with the family.
Any ideas??
I looked at the Log Cabin area, pretty nice...
Any others on this lake?

Thats about as good as youre gonna get to be honest with u. I would recommend Purtis Creek SP if you are going to take the whole family.

hey kingfisher, some friends and i camped out (w/ tent) at Cherokee Landing over spring break. i was hesitant at first but its a great place. they have electric, water, fire pits, fish cleaning station, boat ramp, and boat docks. if you have a boat you can keep it in the slip overnight, thats what we did, it was nice not having to launch everyday! very nice people also, family owned place. http://www.cherokeelanding.net/ i think it was like 12.50 per nite, very good price. only downside is not many stores close by, so get your foods/goods before you go out there. hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks everyone for the replies. We are going to look at Log Cabin and see what they got. Thanks again, and I will post how it was once we go.

Ok, just a recap.
Log Cabin is where we stayed. Memorial Day weekend was crazy.
The entire park was packed.
Here are the positives: * Close to the water and boat ramp * Close to the swimming areas and childrens park * Good fishing right off the dock * Pretty cheap and reasonable * Gas and store not to far, less than 3 miles to get gas if needed
Here are the negatives: * Lots of traffic through the area, this is because of the Memorial Day. * Showers and restrooms were in an old barn until they could finish up their new shower areas, which should be nice and close. * No open campfires....Then I was told that you could, two different communications. They didn't seem to know their own regulations.
Overall, the fishing was great. Crappie and bass were good, cat fishing was good too. You could walk to the dock, jig around it and catch fish easily. Great for kids.
The police were in full force and the city of Log Cabin banned beer and liquor in the park during the weekend. Which was good for us as a family.
