Been meaning to post this.

Froggy D's = Super nice people, will go back.
Moser's = Good food, Good service.
Light House Inn = Good food, Good service.

Vals Landing = (THATS A BIG NEGATIVE)Parked there on two occasions, both times I paid, both times I got a nasty gram on my window telling me to pay, the 2nd time, I looked up at the house to go and speak with the owners to clear the confusion, the jerk was sitting on a rocking chair on the patio and ran inside when he saw me coming, wouldnt even speak to me. Yes my tag was on my windshield and yes it was visible, and yes he ran from me rather than give me the time of day.

There is alot of good folks and Business' at lake fork.here is my latest great service encounter there.on thursday this week my trolling motor(minn kota maxxum 80)was jacked up and not working right.of course i have a tourney on sunday in the morning.i called all kinds of dealerships hopeing i could get it fixed in time.a local boat dealer said if i brought it in by 8 friday a.m. he would do what he could.he couldn't get it fixed (lack of parts)by now it's about 10a.m..alot of dealers told me they used Lake Fork Trolling Motor Repair,so i call them looking for the part i thought i needed.first thing they ask me is how old is it? i told him,he says it's still under warranty.no one i talked to had brought that up.they said if you can get it here by 3:45 will fix you up.so off i go.when they check it out there was more to the problem then what the other guy had said.they worked like crazy on my motor 2-3 hours and fixed it.i just thought they were going to say it would have to stay awhile.they not only fixed it they were incrediblely nice.Lake Fork Trolling Motor Repair is top notch all the all and i will be back......rick

AJ's is tops. I used to love Oak Valley but after a bad experience I switched to AJ's wayyy back when they were in the smaller red building across from where they are now. I have watched them grow to what they are today and still get the same good food and service.

I just wish we had a mexican food place that would stay!

I have only been to Fork once , and we stayed at a place with a place to eat that was a dance hall, had live music at times, and great food, a littl;e store, and cedar lined cabins that we stayed in , was that LFM ? if it was then I have to say I will Def. go back, if not, I wish I knew what it is called......

Saw what you want about Lake Fork Marina, but I will never shop there again.

We bought a 1/2 lb of minnows and by the time we drove about a mile down the road to the boat ramp, almost all of the minnows were dead. The bag appeared full of oxygen and they were all alive when we left the store.

So we go back and show them the bag full of dead minnows and you want to know what their response was? "You're supposed to put them in the water"

So we asked them for another 1/2 lb and they made us pay for them! There was no way we could have got them in the water/minnow bucket any sooner. Not to mention, their attitude was quite rude. Even my two daughters told me how rude they thought the people were when we got back into the store.

That store lost several hundred dollars a year over a $7.00 bag of minnows. Never again. . .

Starmart: Too many horror stories to list here
Rainswood: Used to have the best hamburgers
