Is there a cheaper way to add guide ons to a trailer other than buying a kit that costs over $100? It sure seems that it would be cheaper if you could just buy the hardware yourself.

When you find a supplier willing to sell retail please share it with us.

There definitely are ways to get creative and do it yourself. But by the time you buy the material, and then spend the hours fabbing up the guides, you'd probably be better off just buying them and bolting them on.

Depending on what kinda rig you got, you might be needing a tubing bender, welder, chop saw, grinder, and a few other things. If you know someone who has all this stuff, or you have it yourself, then yeah you might give it a go. I have most of it. But would probably still go buy them if I needed them. Time fabbing a one-off part is the killer. Unless of course it's really simple. And that's right up my alley.

Angle iron, 2X4s, glue and carpet, U bolts and you can do a build for a few bucks.
