Just wanted to know what they were gonna do when we get these thunderstorms tomorrow and Saturday here in NE Texas...Ive been catch'n a few real shallow the last couple days but didnt have a clue what they'd do when this rain moves in, but I still wanna try to catch some more...Any help would be appreciated

What will the rain do to the crappie?

I (at least I hope so) add more water over their heads.

Right now the crappie are about thru being shallow (some lakes like Navrro MIlls - some will stay shallow longer there - into may, but for most lakes it's done right now).

Be looking deeper 10 to 15 feet to finish out their spawn. On some lakes (like Aquilla) their first move is to deeper water (up to 20 feet - cover spots for them all - brush piles, laydowns, man made - whatever - cover spots).

The rain will cool down the surface temp some and only affect (it if does at all) the shallow crappie. The air temps are going to be warm, so my guess is not much unless the area you fish muddies up alot. If it does, go out in the middle of the lake and find structure w/ clearer water! thumb

it depends alot on how the barometric pressure is affected by the front..big change up or down will slow down the bite.i just really dont know how the pressure will be affected by this lil front..if u know shout it
