I've got a set of 5 of those rods and love them. For the price, you won't find a better cat rod out there IMO. I've used the reels before, but don't own them. They're good reels, and for the price you can't beat it, but I stictly use abu 6000's. With a 2-3oz weight you can cast them plenty far.

I really like the rods (crappie and catfish), but I don't think the reels hold up to the Abu's as far as durability and function.
But for the price, they aren't a bad buy at all.

My opinion is if you get one that's made in sweden then you can't go wrong. If you buy one of the c3 series that's made in china you're throwing your money away.

They are the best catfish rods you can buy for the money. I have 10 of them and have caught plenty of fish over 30lbs on them. They have 12 eyes with pressed in guides, so they will not pop out. They have enough play in the end to see the subtle bites, and plenty of back bone to get in the big ones. Biggest one I have caught on them was 61Lbs, did just fine. You will not be disappointed. Give me a call if you want to buy some. I will PM you my number.

Agree on this totally. I have 4 of the red china ones with bait clickers, within the first 6 months all but one of the clickers are broken. Make sure the ones you buy are from Sweden.

Garcia for sure. Have had them for over 30 yrs. and finally had one needing work on. The Garcia 7000 will cast a 2 oz. and shad farther than probably any other baitcaster on the market. Less likely having a backlass also.

Good rods!! The reel seem to be real dry. When I say that I mean I have tore it apart and lubed and lubed and it still has a dry casting sound. Penn M9 is the way to for cost and durability.
