I e-mailed Loomis the other day,and told them in a nice way about how I felt about having to pay shipping both ways for a 220 dollar rod that I only fished twice before it broke for seemingly no reason. They called me within an hour, apologized for the broken rod, and told me that my new rod would be in the mail with a pre-paid shipping label. Now thats service. It will still take a few weeks to get here, but they did listen to me and made it right.

I think that might have played a part.

Same deal for me, first class service. I sent in a rod 8-10 yrs old with the $25 or $35 replacement check (cannot remember the amount) and they mailed me a brand new rod along with my check back to me. Never charged me a dime, I will continue to use Loomis rods. Almost 100% Falcon and Loomis rods in my garage, will replace the "others" as they break.
WORD!!

Broke my Loomis drop shot rod on a small fish, then broke the replacement 6 months later. At least they were quick about sending out the new rods and didn't charge me anything. I've learned that you just can't expect the tips of these rods to hold up to lifting even the weight of a small fish into the boat. They give you incredible sensitivity but at a cost. Use the net on everything.

Mine broke just above the last guide.I got snagged in about 2ft of water about 30 yards from the boat. All I did was apply slight pressure just in case it was a fish, and SNAP!One trip per 100 bucks is not what I expect from a rod. That is not a quality product in my opinion.
