Lake Raven is the hottest place for crappie.. after the stocking of 2005.. the crappie are big and so far over 55,000 have been caught well over 10 to 14 inches.. they have nice pier fishing and lots of bank fishing.. while there everyone was having a great time and plenty of fish in the baskets.. I toured the lake and found Attractive camping and picnicking areas are located around the lake. This seems to be the place for a crappie tournament.. Lake Raven is located in Huntsville State Park.. Night fishing was great.. plenty of bait fish and minnows...

I was very impressed with the lake... gonna send others there from houston and surrounding areas.. talked to a few folks there.. they would like to have someone come and get the fishing report and take photos and get them noticed..
