I really feel silly for askin this but I guess when ya get old the ole mind quits workin. It been like 5 years since I had to buy jigheads.Years back I found a great price on them on ebay.Im running out and need to get more.My question is what size do i need hook and weight wise.Seems like the ones I got were 1/16s and # 4 hooks is this what I need for the 2 1/2 in tube jigs.I asked on another forum they said to check here.........thanks for helping Tide

I always keep some 1/16 (n wind) and some 1/8 (when the wind is up a bit). I think my hooks are #2. I also like to use really big tube skirts as it makes the jig fall slower.

BTW, not a dumb question.

1/16 th is good for most fishing. As Huey mentioned go to the 1/8 th when fishing deep or in the wind. Most of my hooks are # 4 on both size heads.

This...

Except use smaller hooks and prefer Finney Baits Medium Slab Seekers over bigger tubes.
