My son and I hit Lake Gilmer Saturday, and caught 6 bass, and about 8 redear bream. Water temp was 61 degrees, and wind was 10-15 mph. We saw a lot of males on beds that would not open their mouths. All of our bass were under the 18 inch minimum, with my son catching his first bass on a fly bringing in one at 17.5 inches weighing 2 lbs 9 oz. All the bass were caught on wooly buggers, and the redears on poppers in about a foot of water later in the day when the west end of the lake had warmed above 65 degrees in the shallows. Overall a good day, but needs to get warmer for the top water action to take off. I haven't figured out how to post pictures on here, but have a few if anyone can give me directions. I know how to upload them to photobucket, but I can't figure out what the URL address is once I have them uploaded. Any help would be appreciated.

Qualey99,
Do you live close to Gilmer? I go to E. Texas quite a bit since my inlaws live at Holly Lake Ranch close to Hawkins.
I've fished Gilmer a few times on the fly.

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.
