im tired of bank fishing. my bank fishing season is up and it's time to take out the boat and deal with idiots on their boats instead of cast netters on the bank lol!

Report:
Fished around FW bridge. Got there way late. I was out all night chasing carp with Nightfisher. I brought 10 home again (sandbass), using minnows, on or close to the bottom. Caught tons of smallies. The crowd was almost like the weekend. Guy next to me was throwing an x-rap, catching keepers every 5th cast or so. He said he was there since 7am, he had his limit by noon. Good Luck to everyone going to the Rowlette Creek Circus this weekend.

I had 2 brand new xraps and didn't use them Thursday.
Baffin I agree that the netters are a problem that needs to be dealt with. This is the first season my son and I fished RC and we would like to fish it for years to come. I like the sign idea it would be nice if TPWD, Corp of Engineers (if this is Corp controlled), the cities any one with some clout could be involved. I would be willing to donate some green to the cause if others would pitch in.
I'm new to this site and am somewhat unknown but I do know there is strength in numbers. If enough people communicate to TPWD, the corp and the cities we will be heard and I think someone will react. I don't want to fault the GW's they are spread way to thin and do what they can. We need to start now for next years run. If everyone on this site who really cares about this fishery will take the time to communicate what you have witnessed during this run as you have on this site to TPWD, the Corp and the cities this creek flows through I believe they will react.
That's my soap box speech for today. soap

he only problem is thatit wouldend up being a big tax $$$ drain. Most of the netter are illegal and the tickets would become warrants.... go unpaid and picked up. If they should get picked up on the warrant then ther would be more $$$$ with CBP to deporp them. Might not be very good in this economy to put the green out for no return on the investment. Not saying it is right, but the problem is much much worst then cast netters.

Still puts them through the proces-----they should be taken to jail every time they are caught. The word would spread not to do it. And as far as someone suggested they don't know it is illegal here,,,,,,,maybe some of them truely don't know, but by now I'm sure plenty of them know it is illegal--evidence by the fact they are hiding and running when approached. They continue because they could care less about a ticket. Start confiscating there vehicles and take them to jail = that would help alot.

Good point Buck....however there have been numerous times when the netters just sit there and smile while there throwing the nets....And its kind of a sketchy situation...Usually when there is one netter there is about 8 of his friends watching....I have wanted to confront them myself many times, but I dont know were there from, what there character is, how much they've had to drink, if there going to throw one of the coke cans they've been fishing with at me, if there part of a drug cartel, maybe apart of the ms13 gang......you just dont know these days.....some people think they dont have a lot to live for which can present a more dangerous situation....just my 2 cents

I've never fished there (Muddy Creek) before, but I've seen a lot of people caught fish there. Water is very shallow and easy to get hung up.

Wind from the north, fisherman does not go forth.
Wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth.
Wind from the east, the fish bite least.
Wind from the west, the fish bite best.

I was out south of the pipe teaching my friend's kid (10 years old) how to fish. In 1 hour, 3 fish. I caught a sandie and he pulls in a sandie and blue gill off minnows. This is around 5p. If blue gills having fun in the creek, I might bring the kids here more often. Plenty of yellows I've noticed.
